Instead, the authorities rotate which ones are open in order to try and mitigate the damaging effects of mass tourism; and you will visit 3 of the best-preserved tombs of the new kingdom.
Move on to visit the funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut and her name means "Foremost of Noble Ladies", the longest-reigning female pharaoh of an indigenous Egyptian dynasty, In comparison with other female pharaohs, Hatshepsut's reign was much longer and more prosperous. She is considered to be a pharaoh who inaugurated a long peaceful era. She re-established international trading relationships lost during the foreign occupation by the Hyksos and brought great wealth to Egypt. That wealth enabled Hatshepsut to initiate building projects that raised the caliber of Ancient Egyptian architecture to a standard, comparable to classical architecture, which would not be rivaled by any other culture for a thousand years. She managed to rule for about 19 years. One of the most famous things that she did was building Hatshepsut's temple.
Then you will move to visit the two Colossi of Memnon, the all that remains of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III, the original function of the Colossi was to stand guard at the entrance to Amenhotep's memorial temple (or mortuary temple): a massive construct built during the pharaoh's lifetime, where he was worshipped as a god-on-earth both before and after his departure from this world.
